Extended Description
|

|
The Ibycus topo maps are essentially free (one cent). They cover almost all of Canada. They are derived from the 1:50,000 scale map data. They come on a Windows DVD; you download the maps you want to your GPS. A limitation of the Ibycus maps (as compared to the Garmin Topo Canada maps) is that most of the roads in urban areas don’t have the names shown. Also the Autorouting feature of your GPS in which it will give you turn-by-turn road directions to your destination will not work with the Ibycus maps. But outside of the cities the Ibycus maps may have more detail and may be more recent.
